Living in Fortuna (I)

My friends left their island (Red dots are from where they are) to come to the southeast of Spain, Region of Murcia. This place would be a dry in the middle of nowhere if not for a hot wellspring known since immemorial time. Fortuna is now a place in which people of many backgrounds live, specially more citizens from the north of Europe.
In this photo below, you can see The Kalendas, one of the developments around the village, near the Leana's Spa.

I work at the Health Center of this place, so I know all the citizens that, before or after, need to see the doctor.
I've always liked being able to communicate with others and if I needed to learn lenguages, I did. Many times you feel in need of information and health issues, anxiety grows when you can not understand what are saying to you. So, I have specialized in assisting them in English.
Well, rather they ask me and my colleagues, not knowing the language of Shakespeare, awarded to me automatically. There's nothing official (administration did not even recognize me the extra work), but it's always a pleasure to have a challenge in the daily work and to help others.
Now I'll introduce some of my friends.

They are Mrs. and Mr. Hackett. They come from Hartlebury (Stourport-on-Severn, Worcestershire). I love talking with them: they are so friendly and nice.
Wow!!!
Wow!!!! Lisa Luxton (at the left). She comes from London and is like an earthquake (in positive, of course!). She speaks a perfect Spanish and works as an interpreter. The married couple on the right are Elizabeth and Peter Barlow. They are from Portsmouth. With Peter I have spoken many times about the "English and the accents" (he has an excellent accent). He also taught me how to speak with a "Posh" accent, as the Queen Elisabeth. Thank you, friends!
Arthur Scott. Me encanta!
Mr.Arthur Scott. Sometimes his wife, Pam, is comming with him; but Arthur usually comes daily. They are from Scarborough (Yorkshire). Do you know Simon&Garfunkel's song, Scarborough Fair?? That was the first song I learned in English at school. I love this folk song!!
My favourite cooker and baker ever!!, Avril Leonardi. She bakes cakes, biscuits, muffins...mmmm delicious!!! Some mornings she brings me her delicatessen for my coffe break. She is like you could see: cheerful, modern, lovely. The Leonardi are from Nottingham. Yes, where was Robin Hood.
David Bexon, a great person. He has lived most of his life in London, until he came to Fortuna.

Delia y Georg McDonald Hedger.
Delia & Georg McDonald Hedger. They are lovely. She worked as a nurse, so she knows the sanitary world and understands me how I feel sometimes. Delia is "the woman in purple", never dresses another colour (and so I'm writting in purple too). They come from Hayling Island, near Portsmouth.

My dearest, Cecilia Hill and Marion King. Marion is very special to me. She and her husband, Roger, were the first who brought me true friendship. Several times I visited their house, I met his family, his son Warren ... I was sorry when Roger died, still miss him. When Marion comes to the doctor went out together for coffee. Marion and Roger came from London, where he still lives his son (a great photographer, by the way).
I met Cecilia through Marion. They are great friends ever going together. Cecilia is from Glasgow (Scotland). I love her accent! although it become some "global" because he has lived in many parts of the world. Her husband was a Navy pilot and have traveled many places throughout his life. My great friends!

Before concluding this first part, I want to give thanks the British group which organized a "Charity" to raise money and buy some wrist blood pressure. They all live here and felt the need to express its appreciation, helping the community. That is something of British culture that I love.
I will continue introducing my friends from Fortuna, a small place in the world where I have the good fortune to work.

Fortuna, que Dios te de.
Fortuna, God give to you.
